Wearing a playful bikini patterned with tiny watermelons, the beautiful girl smiled, soaking in the serenity of the nearly deserted tropical beach. Palm trees swayed gently in the breeze, and the turquoise waves lapped at her feet with rhythmic whispers. She stretched, letting out a content sigh, her gaze wandering along the endless shoreline behind her, unaware of the small volcanic island rising quietly in the distant horizon. The last elf on the last day
Her city had been there for thousands of years, hidden, thriving like no other city. They had the most beautiful buildings, the most astonishing landscapes. Lush fields and the protection of mountains. They had the most educated citizens, and the fiercest army.
But they were betrayed, and the Lord of the Dark appeared before their doors with all he had.
There was no reaction time, and there was no mercy from the darkness. One by one all the houses in the city fell, and the elves were exterminated.
The most mythical and exuberant of their cities had fallen, and its inhabitants, perished.
All but one. Drowned in rage, she run in a suicide attack on the destroyers of her city. She died soon in her wrath attack, but, at same time, she managed to make her enemies savor their dirty victory with a last sense of terror.
