She stretched, letting out a content sigh, her gaze wandering along the endless shoreline behind her, unaware of the small volcanic island rising quietly in the distant horizon. It was still winter, but that day the sun was fighting with its warm colors against the bluish winter cold. She had decided that her period of hibernation had lasted long enough, and the warm light invited her out of her slumber. She buttoned down her white woolen dress, not too warm, not too cool, and went out into the garden. She closed her eyes for a moment and breathed deeply the cold air under the sun's rays. She smiled, she felt divine, and smiling she looked knowingly at the person in front of her, who had also decided that the hibernation had lasted long enough...
